Will Mint be updating their iPhone app for the iPad?
I would love to see some of the graphs, but I know there isn't support for Flash.

This is hilarious. There are apparently 57 employees monitoring this customer service forum, yet response times of roughly one year or longer can be expected for such simple inquiries and requests. Not one of them has provided a meaningful update (or an update at all, for that matter). Great job, Mint!
If you're not actively developing and/or focusing on an iPad app at the present time, just tell us. A simple answer is all that is necessary. This is not rocket science. -
Sadly I think folks are going to start abandoning Mint as their own banks roll out HTML5 websites and iPad apps with personal finance management capabilities. I already find myself using USAA's website far more often than Mint, and for what it's worth, USAA's iPad app is very good.
Gone is the Mint.com of a year go -- the young, fast-moving startup has finally succumbed to the big-company Intuit "ball and chain". -
I'm past the whole technology part of this thread, i'm more concerned about Mint's lack of communication with their user base. Here we have a thread that has been open for quite some time, with many users requesting a new feature, and there is next to no communication from mint. I would be happy to hear them say something. Tell us that we (mint.com) are not going to switch to HTML5 and are not going to deploy an iPad app. That is better than nothing. By saying nothing and not setting expectations with your user base, you are basically diminishing the value of their voice and of this forum. Why should I try to make your product better if you are not going to address it in any way?
What's the point if this will just be a forum for users to gripe? At least I know when I have an issue with Yodlee, I immediately am acknowledged and my problem addressed in one way or the other. Same holds true for the other PFMs that I have dealt with in the past. Mint, on the other hand, has always had issues with communication. Now it seems that people are not going to deal with it and will move on. -
you don't have an idea under "consideration" for 11 months with this much demand, and not even come out with a comment on strategic direction, ....
unless .... you simply don't care. that is the message that is coming across loud and clear to me from Intuit. Especially when you add in the recent communication issues and poor quality.
We should all be able to see that this solution is fading fast, and not close to what it was that made it so popular. I for one am starting to plan to replace Mint. -
Mint if you can hear us, please answer our questions! We really need something that works with the Ipad. Either HTML5 or an app is needed. Please let us know if you are working on this?
-
I Haven't logged into Mint since I got my iPad.
-
The only thing keeping me from moving my accounts from Quicken desktop to mint.com is the lack of an iPad app. Just do it already!
-
Rather than an app for iPad, just update ALL of Mint to support HTML 5.
Trend graphs or flash based content obviously does not work on iPad, and the rest of the world is moving to HTML 5. Mint.com should follow suit! -
Using mint online would be the perfect web resource for managing finances online. Please dropnflash and move to html5 so we can can use our pads!
-
I would LOVE to see a full fledged mint app for the iPad. Dare I say that I may even be willing to pay for it!!
-
I agree...migrate to html5 for the graphs!
-
It would be fantastic to have a full featured app on the iPad. Additionally, the development team should look at migrating off of Flash on the web version as well. The trends graphs could be replaced with lightweight, cross-platform javascript (check out jqplot for prebuilt functionality)
-
Please, please please! Both mint and the iPad deserve better than a scaled-up iPhone app.
-
I live on the Mint app for my iPod Touch. I would have thought they'd jump on the iPad. Perhaps it's that flash thing holding 'em back a bit. Please please consider an iPad port. Mint on the iPad would be simply awesome!

Hi Terrance, I am not certain, so I've changed our question to an idea so it will be reviewed by our product team.
Best,

Companies still don't get how to communicate with their customers. Every time I get an invitation for a service from Mint, I am reminded that sales is the only team in the company talking to users. Technology team, are you there? Can you please give us an update?

The last time I checked this thread, Stephen Mann was getting attention for saying "hang in there, it's coming". It was also 110 in Texas and the drought was beginning.
Well It's October and has been raining in Fort Worth for 24 hrs. Hard to believe the drought broke before Mint said anything else about what must be their #1 customer request.
People want an answer, HTML 5 or iPad native doesn't seem to matter. Give us a Beta program or something!-
Hi amichalo,
It was released yesterday in the App Store! Enjoy.

PageOnce is a much better product - I have been using it for 3 months since I gave up on Mint. I am unable to use this website on my iPad, so I had to find an alternative. PageOnce has utilities and other accounts you can add to make a more comprehensive financial picture. There are features I can not live without, so if Mint simply makes the iPad work, it's not enough to drag me back.
Make your voices heard, and leave Mint for another company - they'll get the clue then... -

Not sure if there is any validity from this guy (his bio says he works for Mint), but some potential hope:
https://twitter.com/#!/jaanus/status/...
He also has 4 or 5 other tweets saying that it is being released soon. He is responding to tweets that are directed toward @mint, not toward him.-
He is listed as a "designer" at Mint.com on LinkedIn.....sounds promising!!

Yep, this was my tweet and it’s all valid. Mint for iPad is real, and I’ve been running the development version on my device for a while now. I wish I could give you more specific dates or screenshots, but, well, it’s not final until it’s out. But, we do have specific release dates in place, and they’re not too far.
One piece of guidance I can share is that the upcoming version of Mint requires iOS 5 on both iPad and iPhone. (So, we actually could not release it until iOS 5 came out. And since it’s out now, well, Mint will be out soon too. :) So you’d better update your devices. But, if you have an older iPhone or just don’t wish to upgrade, the previous version, Mint 1.12 will continue to run fine on your older devices. -

I most agree with most everyone on this thread, the better the communication the happier the supporters and subscribers, I think had users been told a release for IPAD would be out by (Estimated Date Here) then you wouldn’t see this many complaints. That being said not to be the devil’s advocate here, keep in mind this is a free service with a lot of great resources for IPhone and Android phones. I tried Pageonce and it was $12.99 for some of the advanced features. So for now sticking with Mint but would love to see some communication about ehancing features and or future fees around the app?

I posted this info in a comment, but it’s good to be shared as a separate message here too...

Great! Thanks again, Jaanus, for responding. A prompt response is a breath of fresh air from Mint. So you ruled out today; can you rule out any other dates? :-) Tomorrow, Monday?
As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of Mint! :-) -
-
Will Mint also be releasing an app for Android based tablets?

Jaanus:
Will there be a cost for the Mint app? Thanks for the info...your our hero!

Your. Don't hold your breath.
Listen, Mint is FREE! If you are not paying them, you can't hold them to a deadline. Have some patience, jeez. -
-
well over a year's worth of waiting so far. That's some kind of patience already, if you ask me. I was miffed at Mint, but I swore off the badgering online since I looked like an idiot complaining about something that I though they should have completed well before this time.
However, I found that I can get by without Mint more and more, and consequently, may not be around to pay for an iPad app, when it finally does arrive.
Only time will tell. Nothing is ever free, you just pay for it in different places. -

The latest news regarding Mint for iPad said "very shortly" and "very close" and "very, very soon" -- well that was all more than a week ago.
I don't care if it's not today, but don't tell me "very, very soon" when it's been more than a week! Can you tell us if it will be yet this week? Next week? -

Hello, I hope this thread is still active. I need the older version of the app for iphone 4.1. I don't want to upgrade my 3GS to 5.0. Not sure if I even can.
Thanks -
