Not syncing with Sam's Club Discover account
Mint has not been able to sync with my Sam's Club Discover accout for 6 days. I am missing transactions and auto payments that are effecting my budget.
-
-
Does anyone at Mint ever look at these problem and let people know what is going on? Has anyone else found a solution to these type of problems?
I realy need to get this problem fixed. -
-
I was unable to log in for several days, but now I am getting in but without any transactions downloading.
Today it's not loading at all. -
-
My account shows last successful login was 4 days ago, but I there are no new transactions since June 19th (4 weeks ago). Very annoying.
-
-
I reported this problem over a week ago and still no response from Mint, let alone a solution. I like the product and what it has done fro my budget, but lack of a resolution to this problem sure is frustrating. Does anyone at Mint ever look a these Issues? If so what are they going to do about it. It would be nice if they at least let me know that they are looking into the problem. I really need a resolution to this Issue.
-
-
-
-
I tried deleting the account and adding again, still cannot get Mint to connect. Logging in directly through the browser works fine. Although this is frustrating, Mint is "amazing", I can wait a bit.
-
-
I've had the same problem for about 3 weeks now. I've tried adding it again and refreshing my username and password, but no luck. I really like mint.com and I use it quite often...hope this gets resolved soon.
-
-
I tried a private message to mint a week ago and got no response. My transactions have not updated since June 19 and I fear some will be lost when they finally fix this. This is my most used credit card and mint is becoming useless to me if it can't deal with this.
-
-
This credit card controls 50% of my monthly spending my results are nowhere near accurate without this card.
-
-
This problem IS STILL NOT FIXED!!!
I have not received any response from Mint via this reporting method.
when is someone at Mint going to work on thos problem. It looks like it is effecting a lot of people. -
-
This is one of at least half a dozen topics related to this same Sams Club Discover Card problem, and Mint hasn't posted in ANY of them. Not a good sign for their customer service. I wonder if the Intuit takeover is already starting to affect things in a really bad way... Piss poor service to not even communicate with your subscribers about REAL problems. We need to be very vocal about this so they don't just shove us under the rug.

WHEN IS MINT GOING TO START WORKING ON PROBLEMS LIKE THIS AND INFORM THE USERS OF THEIR ACTIONS?????
MINT IS PART OF MY DAY TO DAY BUDGEDTING PROCESS AND IF 20 TO 30% OF MY CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS ARE MISSING, ALONG WITH AUTO PAYMENTS ON THAT ACCOUNT, THE PROCESS IF FAILING. -

Purchases made at Sams Club on my Sams Club Discover do not come over in my transactions. I noticed the problem a few months ago. Sometimes they come over and sometimes they don't. Any one else have problems with the Sams Club Discover Card?

I used to have my Sam's Club account on Mint. Once all the update problems began I deceided to delete it because it was the one giving me the most problems. Now that Mint is working better I cannot add my Sam's Club account once again and I can't. The URL address I have is https://www2.onlinecreditcenter6.com/...

I have been trying to add my SAMS Club discover card since last many days and I am getting the "temporary issue" notice every time. I am really frustrated with this.
Could you please look into this? If you do not support Sams club, please mention clearly..

I can't get my Sam's Club Discover account to connect. It's been saying "Temporary Issue" for about 3 weeks now. I've tried deleting it and re-adding it with the same problem. I can log into the actual Sam's website and check my account. Any ideas?

Hello,
We have known an issue affecting SAM's Club Discover credit card where users encounter "Temporary issue connecting" error in Mint.
Our data engineering team is currently working to resolve this issue.
We will post here as soon as we have an update on its status. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
Have a good day!-
Aysa,
Assuming that Mint can fix this problem, how far back will Mint be able to scrape transaction data? (Support for GEMB appears to have been out across the board for over a month now.) For those (like me) who will have a small number of affected transactions, can Mint associate a manual transaction with a specific account?
Thanks for your attention. -
-
Aysa, 2 weeks ago you said they were working on it. It's been two MONTHS since I've had a transaction show up in Mint. I am afraid Mint is becoming useless to me, and not a service I can recommend anymore. I love mint when it works, and it is a service I would gladly pay for if it meant greater reliability.

Aysa, thanks for the update and for merging in one of the other threads on the same issue. Could you also merge in the following threads on the same problem?

I continue to have the same problem with Walmart Discover card downloads!!! HELP!!
-
-
Tried deleting and adding a couple times, still no connection!! Frustration building...
-
-
This is my main credit card and I have no transactions listed since June 19th. If this isn't fixed soon, or if they lose the 7 weeks of data, i think it will be time to look for some other solution. I love mint, but this issue is making it useless to me.
-
-
(crickets)
Now four weeks without connecting and over a week since the last comment from Mint. If this gets fixed, how far back will transactions be downloaded? -
-
Very annoying. Mint is useless to me without this account being updated. What a huge waste of my time.
-
-
-
-
Aysa, can you provide us any sort of status update? Any word on new developments? The black hole is frustrating as you can see by the many comments.
-
-
Agree with this thread. I don't understand why they say they are working on it, and it has been going on for months.
-
-
Hey guys, I don't think this is just Mint's fault. It looks like other online software also cannot connect to Sam's Club Discover. I think the people we need to bug are the Sam's Club Discover people. They may have blocked it and Mint is just trying to be allowed to connect again. Lets bring our frustration to them to.

This is the first I've heard of other providers having trouble with GEMB. Mint uses Yodlee to slurp up the account data, so it wouldn't be surprising if all Yodlee services were having the same trouble. Is there a non-Yodlee service provider having the same issue?
ETA: My bad (see below) - Mint now using/switching to internal (Intuit) backhaul. -
-
FYI: I have also tried to link this Sam's Discover account from my Fidelity accounts and got following error msg:
SAMS CLUB Discover: Unable to Update Account Information (415)
For technical reasons at SAMS CLUB Discover site, Full View cannot refresh your account data. Try refreshing this site in one or two business days. If you continue to receive this message, please e-mail Fidelity using the link below, referencing Help Code 415. Be sure to include information about the website you are trying to reach.
I am able to connect to all other banks except this one, which clearly indicate that Discover site is doing something wrong OR they did some updates and all these services need to fix it.
I also agree - it is taking toooooooooooooooooo long for this to fix it for these engineers.. :-( -

Discover's customer bank interface makes it nearly impossible to see a statement balance or a list of transactions outside of one month.
The Discover's 2% rebate does not kick in until you've spent several hundred dollars.
I'm giving up on Discover, not on Mint.
For Sam's Club, I've switched back to my 1% cash rebate Mastercard. For everybody else (all of whom accept VISA), I use my 2% rebate Schwab VISA (which I learned about from Mint). That's 2% from day one, paid monthly, no thresholds, and totally automatic, no manual redemption required. -

I have the same type of problem with Walmart Discover Credit Card. Initially established account and received downloads. Stopped receiving downloads. Can access the credit card account direct so account name and password is not the problem. Deleted the account in Mint and tried unsuccessfully to reestablish. Unable to even establish new account after numerous trys. I have about 10 other accounts and experience no problems with them. HELP!!!!

@Shawn M. Winnie
I'm not so sure Mint is still using Yodlee. I've seen several sources say that they were switching to Intuit's own aggregation service after the acquisition. Maybe that has something to do with it? It would be nice if Mint would chime in here...-
Yep, my bad. The switch had been rumored but I missed the announcement (~3 months ago?) that they were cutting over.

Hello,
Credit Card accounts powered by GE Money Bank has been disabled temporarily by one of our data aggregation providers. We are constantly in touch with GEMB to find a resolution to this issue.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. I will keep you updated on the progress.
Have a good day!-
If it helps to trouble shoot the problem.
Even I am getting similar error msg when trying to connect this Sam's Discover account from other bank (Fidelity). Getting following error msg:
SAMS CLUB Discover: Unable to Update Account Information (415)
For technical reasons at SAMS CLUB Discover site, Full View cannot refresh your account data. Try refreshing this site in one or two business days. If you continue to receive this message, please e-mail Fidelity using the link below, referencing Help Code 415. Be sure to include information about the website you are trying to reach.
May be Discover has changed the process to connect to their site and all such service providers are getting that error. But one should able to fix it. It can't stay like that for months .. Soooooo techies .. come-on, move this IR on critical priority and fix it asap.
Good luck.... -

My GEMB Sam's Club Discover just updated. Balance is now correct, but my July transactions were not picked up.
Aysa, does Mint expect to get the GEMB transactions retroactively? If not, am I correct in assuming that we can not manually enter these transactions?-
Great news, I hope they are fixing all of our problems. I just tried to have Mint Sync with My Sam's Club Discover account and it is still failing.
Any comments from Mint on the when and where of a fix to my problem would be very welcome.

My discover card balance just updated (as it did one month ago). But still no transactions have downloaded for exactly 2 months now.
-
-
My balance also just updated, but like Shawn no transactions came through. My last transaction listed is on June 23rd, so that's nearly two months without transaction history.
Aysa, I really appreciate the update and the apparent (at last partial) solution, but we really need to get an answer on how past transaction history will be affected by this outage. -
-
Still failing....PLEASE fix ASAP! This is extremely vital to budget tracking.
-
-
Come on already 3 months......what is the real Problem!?!!?
-
-
My Sam's Club account started updating after I emailed their customer service and asked for advice. Their advice had to do with which browser to use, but I haven't changed anything and my account total is now updating. Whatever, I'm grateful. My transactions haven't updated since June.
-
This is what Sam's Discover sent me, but I use Firefox browser.
We recommend using Netscape Navigator / Communicator 4.5 or higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, or AOL version 4.0 or higher. If you are accessing our site with a browser other than those recommended above, you may not be able to log-in or view your account information.
You will have to contact Mint.com for advise. -
-
I don't get what you mean. Your Mint account information started updating after calling Sam's customer service? Obviously the browser doesn't make a difference whether a particular account will update or not, and besides, their advice is for their website, not Mint. They have no control or connection at all with Mint's website. Mint simply gets the Sam's data through a data aggregation service.
If your Sam's data on Mint started updating then I seriously doubt it had anything to do with something their customer service did to your account. -

Let's just keep things clear here to keep the issue on track:
1) The problem has nothing to do with anything on the client side. The Mint website works fine with any modern browser.
2) The root of the problem is that whichever data aggregation provider Mint uses for collecting GE Money Bank card data (i.e. Sam's Discover) is either having severe technical difficulties or contract disputes with GE Money Bank. This has already been confirmed by Aysa
3) Once the issue is completely resolved (which I assume it will be at some point), the problem then evolves into one just as serious: what happens to past transaction data? Is it just gone forever? Will Mint be able to get the older transaction data to fill in the gap from the outage? WE NEED THESE QUESTIONS ANSWERED. -
-
Here's a new one. My account updated, and showed a negative (credit) balance.
A direct login to Discover revealed that the card credited my account with payment twice.
This time the problem's on the bank's end. I don't like the bank's interface and I'm getting better rewards from another card, so I've given up using the Discover. I'm sure they'll eventually catch the double credit on an audit.
Meanwhile, now that Mint captured this error, my debt balance is off by that amount. I almost wish it hadn't updated. I have other relevant transactions that would be missing if I hid the account. -
-
And Time magazine called this one of the best 50 online sites.
http://www.time.com/time/specials/pac...
Mint now appears to me as one the most useless sites. Partial data is no more helpful than no data. No communication about it is just rude. -
-
Well my balance seems to update most every day now... which is of little use to me. All I care about are transactions and I haven't had a transaction post since June 19th. So Mint and GE are talking now... they just aren't saying anything I care to hear. If Mint wants to be taken seriously, they need to communicate with their users on the status of such problems, and they need to resolve these issues in a timely manner.

I noticed something interesting based on your post. In mint the Sam's club website is listed as http://WWW.SAMSCLUBDISCOVER.COM. If you lick on the link it will bring you to https://www2.onlinecreditcenter6.com. Which, if I go there and log in works. Yet, you are talking about GE Money bank handling your Sam's Discover.
Could it be that we are all talking about and trying to connect to different things? Could this be whay some of us are getting updates and others are not?
Anyway, I haven't had an update in two months. :-( -
-
@SadinSD
The Sam's Club Discover consumer version is listed as WWW.ONLINECREDITCENTER6.COM for me in Mint.
If I do a search for "Sams" it also has an option for a "business" version of the Sam's Discover card, and that one is listed as SAMSCLUBDISCOVER.COM.
There is also an entry for "SAMS CLUB Online Credit Center", which is yet another URL for the login.
Bottom line, there may be some confusion or differences with people that have different incantations of the Sam's Discover cards, but again, the issue is confirmed by Mint and I haven't seen anyone posting anything yet about receiving full transaction data since this whole mess started. I'm still waiting for a Mint representative to give us a statement on what is going to happen to all the transaction data in this ever increasing gap. -
-
-
-
Seveal people have replied indicating that their Sam's Club Discover account was syncing with Mint. What about the rest of us? Two and a half months with out a transaction or payment posted to Mint!!
CAN SOMEONE AT MINT PLEASE REPLY TO THIS MESAGGE AND LET US ALL NO WHAT IS GOING ON AND WHEN WE WE HAVE A FIX FOR ALL OF US? -
-
-
Thanks LADY-UNLUCKY for the reply!!!!
-

This is taking a long time to resolve. I agree with others that if MINT can't figure out how to resolve and respond then they will not get my money. On the other hand, if Sam's club / GEMB / etc can't cooperate, I'll use another card.
-
-
Pageonce.com has no troubles syncing with Sam's Club Discover. I'm pretty sure it's Mint's deal.
-
-
I have downloaded Pageonce and will start using it. Too bad that it is taking Mint.com that long to resolve this issue. Thanks Chad for the tip on pageonce.
-
-
This is really getting ridiculous how long it is taking, and the weeks of no communication make it even worse. Aysa, are you still even monitoring this page? We really need some answers about a timeline for restoration and especially what will happen to transaction data over the last 2.5 months.
-
-
It has been 2 1/2 months and still no solution from Mint, and very little information on their actions (if any) to resolve this MAJOR PROBLEM.
When will we (more than 100 replies to this problem) here something from Mint? -
-
i have solved this problem by cancelling my Sam's Discover Card.
-
-
I never been able to sync with Sam's Discover and never received any responses from Mint to my numerous e-mail.
Is anybody there? Does anybody care? Mint????????????? -
-
Pageonce was able to fix this problem by integrating with a security question. This problem is certainly Mint's.

Hey, I just got Sam's Discover Card transactions for the first time since June 19th. The transactions go back to August 12th, leaving me an 8 week gap, but I had already entered those transactions as cash transactions. Not perfect but better than nothing.
- view 1 more comment
-
-
Well at least you're getting something. I still don't have any transaction data since June 23rd and no responses from Mint to my queries over what is happening, what a timeline is for a fix, or what will happen to the transaction data during the gap once they get it fixed (although with as long as it's been now I'm not holding out hope that Mint has people competent enough to even solve something as basic a problem as this).
Oh, and for anyone thinking that this is just happening because GE Moneybank accounts only represent a tiny fraction of Mint's customer base you're wrong. Just look at the support site to see many other similar account access problems even with Bank of America. The problem is a shoddy backend data service on Mint's part, pure and simple. Things never were this bad before Intuit took over and replaced Yodlee as the data backend. -
-
Well I guess I won some mini-mint-lottery or something. I got one months worth of data to show up for my Discover card, but again back to nothing since Sept 9. Incredibly poor customer service from Mint. Too bad, such a nice product.
-
-
-
-
Yodlee.com is not having this problem, and connects to many accounts that Mint cannot find. Since Mint is uninterested in resolving the issue I am going to be closing up my Mint account and directing all my friends to Yodlee
-
-
My Sam's Club Discover updated today! Most of my transactions are there, but some from July are missing.
-
I just spent 15 minutes and 5 or 6 retries on my Sam's Discover and I could only get the balance to update, no transactions came in. Two weeks ago it gave me a months worth of transactions, up to Sept 9th, which is my last statement end date. But nothing since. Guess you are today's lucky winner. Perhaps I will get another month's transactions tomorrow (Oct 9th), maybe it is only sending over transactions once the month closes out.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Yes, I guess that update a few days ago was a fluke because it hasn't worked since!
-
I just got an update, a month after my last update. It seems to not pull down current transactions, it only pulls them down after the month's bill closes.
-
-
-
-
-
I have not received an update for about 3 months now. The problem seemed to start when Sam's Club Discover started asking for the answer to a security question after requesting the username and before requesting the password when logging in from a new computer. Yodlee seems to anticipate this and asks for your security question and answer as part of your login credentials. Yodlee seems to work for Sam's Club Discover and all of my other accounts, so I am moving over there.
-
-
How is it that this problem can go on for MONTHs? New user, not impressed.
-
-
i've had the same problem for months as well. Maybe take it off the lists of banks/cards you can add until it's fixed?
-
-
Absolutely dismal service and just a crappy product.
To not be able to fix a simple authentication problem for MONTHS ON END just reeks of incompetence. And they have the audacity to keep advertising on the home page how many places give great reviews.
In addition to this Discover account that simply hasn't worked at all for the last 5 months I am constantly having problems with my other accounts as well. Sometimes they take ages to update, sometimes they require re-entry of the credentials, sometimes they display incorrect balances (my credit line which was paid off months ago still shows a balance). Let's face it: Intuit tried to save money by ditching Yodlee and substituting their own data service. They have failed miserably and then compound the failure by refusing to own up to their mistakes or even communicate at all with their users. EPIC FAIL. -
